Invitation to attend
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are excited to announce the 14th International Symposium on Digestive Physiology of Pigs to be held in Brisbane (Australia) between the 21st and the 24th of August 2018 (DPP2018). We are proud to host the conference in the Asia-Pacific for the first time since the Symposium series started in Shinfield (Reading, UK) in 1979. Previous conferences have been held triennially in France, Denmark, Poland, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Sweden, Canada, Denmark, Spain, USA, and Poland and have become recognised as the definitive international scientific forum on digestive physiology of pigs. The Australasian pig science and industry community have united and aim to meet the high standards set by the previous meetings. Among other initiatives, we are particularly proud to introduce a student program to assist MPhil/PhD candidates to attend the conference. All in all, we expect to attract around 400 attendees from Asia, Europe, and North and South America.
The scientific framework of the program will be centred around the digestive system, focusing on specific aspects such as the emerging areas of the Microbiota and the nutrient chemosensory mechanisms in the pig gastrointestinal tract. In particular, we will target the latest advances in the field of digestive physiology, which will illustrate the future research trends. Our program committee would like to encourage proposals for potential Satellite Symposia as well.
Finally, we would like you all to feel as though this is your conference and that you are a fundamental part of it. We invite you to submit your details via the expression of interest page. In doing so, you will automatically receive future announcements and other updates relevant to the DPP2018. In addition, your comments are important to us and we want to hear your voice. For this reason we have opened a direct communication line with us: firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to seeing you at the DPP2018.
